We could use the <developer/> section in Maven pom (maybe with an explicit one-click link from te main page)?

I'm moving this out to 2.0 since I didn't get to it for 1.1

Dave, I would like this to be more than just the contributors. Something similar to the list of people we acknowledged at JavaOne '07
