Here are some further refined classes - we're able to execute these in our environment using spring-batch 1.0.1.RELEASE. This archive contains a POM as well.

Please let me know if you have any questions/suggestions.

Nigel. Thanks very much for the contributions We hope to be able to provide some more comprehensive zOS support at some point, but we can't schedule it right now, so I'm removing the "Fix version". Stay in touch directly if you want to monitor activity behind the scenes.

It's been a few months since we've been using this DataSet Reader with JZOS, and we're a few months wiser :)

The bottom line is not everyone knows how to wrangle a JZOS environment, and the performance isn't significantly better than zLinux. So though there will be a place for JZOS and DataSet Spring-Batch applications I think you should need to justify why not do it on Linux/Windows. In then end you'll need folks to maintain this stuff, and it's much easier to find people that can do it on Windows/Linux vs. zOS.

If anyone needs this code send me a note: ndefreitas at iso dot com.
